The company has decided to sell it a lowest price of of Rs.251/-. It will be going to be the world’s cheapest smartphone launched till now. Earlier the company has announced that it will launch the “Freedom 251” at the price range of less than Rs.500/- but now it has been confirmed that world’s cheapest smartphone will be available online for sale at the price of Rs.251/-.
The first look of the Freedom 251 will be unveiled officially at New Delhi on Wednesday evening in an event. The Union Defence Minister, Sri Manohar Parrikar will be the Chief Guest of the event. The Ringing Bells reveals that it has been able to develop the Freedom 251 smartphone and make it available at such a low price with the support of Prime Minister’s newly launched ‘Make in India’ government scheme. The company’s idea behind launching Freedom 251, the cheapest smartphone, is to connect people living in all areas of India whether it is Urban or rural via mobile connectivity. Earlier, the government has provided its support to the Aakash tablet to bring computing among the masses. It also take forward the present government’s vision to realise making ‘Digital India’.
Earlier the Ringing Bells had come up with the cheapest 4G smartphone in India which has been priced at Rs 2,999/-. Th company has started its operation last year. According to official from company, they will will start with the assembly of handsets in phase-I.Later, they aims at developing the smart phone as full indigenous.
