Students can fill up Ignou Revaluation form within 30 days from the date of declaration of result for any particular course. The application form can be downloaded from the university official website in the form of PDF file. The applicants have to pay Rs.750/- as fee for each course for which they are going to apply for revaluation.
The Indira Gandhi National Open University publishes the results of term end theory and practical examination after 45 days from the exam finish date. i.e the results of June examinations are declared in the month of August whereas the December exam results are published in the month of February.
After the declaration of Ignou result for various programmes and courses, few students become happy but some students left unsatisfied with it. They may have done well in examination but they do not get the result as per their expectation. Such students can apply for revaluation of their answer scripts.
Sometimes, it may be possible that the invigilator who check the answer sheets of students commit mistake and left some question unchecked or he may not have done the counting of marks properly.
So, the university provides the option to all its students that they can apply for revaluation of their answer sheets if they are not satisfied with their results.
It should be noted that the students can apply for revaluation of their answer sheets only for Term End Theory Examination and not for Practicals/Lab courses, Project, Workshop, Assignment, etc.

Ignou Revaluation Procedure:
Students who are not happy with their results and feels that they have performed much better in the examination can follow the procedure to fill up Ignou revaluation form within 30 days from date of declaration of result for any particular course i.e. the date on which result has been declared by university and made available on its official website.
The university will consider the date of declaration of result from the date on which the result(s) are placed on its official website. The students can download the application form for revaluation of answer script from the university website in the “Forms” section.
Please fill in the application form carefully before sending it along with the revaluation fee.The evaluation centre address where the students need to send the application form can be found on the form itself.
Please mention ‘APPLICATION FORM FOR RE-EVALUATION OF ANSWER SCRIPTS’ on the top of the envelope containing the prescribed application form.
IGNOU Revaluation Fee:
The student applying for Re-evaluation of answer script for various courses need to submit the fee of Rs. 750/- per course which has to be paid via demand draft.
The Demand Draft has to be drawn in favour of ‘IGNOU’, payable at the City of Evaluation Centre. You can find the the city of evaluation centre on the IGNOU Revaluation form.
The fee for SAARC country students is Rs.1200/- per course whereas students from Non-SAARC countries has to pay $75 per course.

- Click on the appropriate link to download the form.
- Save the form to your mobile or computer to take print out of it.
Ignou Revaluation Result:
The university takes minimum of 30 days time for re-evaluation from the date of receipt of application. It may be noted that the university may take some more time to declare the revaluation result so you need to keep patience.
After re-evaluation of the answer script, the university considers the better of the two scores of original marks/grades and marks/grades after reevaluation as final and update the same in students’ record.
The Ignou send the communication of revised marks/grade after re-evaluation to the student at his/her residential address. Also, the result of re-evaluation has been made available by university on its official website at www.ignou.ac.in.
